Upcoming Thermal Cooking Classes

Three Classes available to schedule

1- Thermal Cooking Class: By following the basic outline of the Let's Make Sense of Thermal Cooking Cookbook this class covers the basic concepts involved in thermal cooking. The Class is just over an hour long. After the presentation I always bring something to share prepared in the thermal cooker.  Segments from this class can be found on YouTube.

2- Thermal Cooking Workshop: During the Thermal Cooking Workshops I will be preparing 4 - 5 meals in the thermal cookers. You will be able to watch each step. Lucky class members who have signed up to take the meals home will have a night off in the kitchen. These classes are day class where we will enjoy a lunch break together. There is a $10 fee to attend the class and $30-$40 for signing up to take a meal (includes your class fee)

3- Indoor/Outdoor Cooking Methods: In this class we will discuss why it is important to have more than one cooking method in place when preparing for emergencies. We will discusses my 5 favorite cooking methods and why they are perfect for any preparedness plan.

I do not bring food to sample when teaching classes and presentations for wards, stakes, and fairs.

When an address is not listed it is because the class is in a home. Please request these addresses via email if you would like to attend.

Guidelines for hosting a Thermal Cooking class

When choosing a day to host a class, simply review the class schedule listed above. Choose 3-4 dates that are open on my schedule that work for you and email those dates to me. I will then choose which one works best and let you know.

Please plan on having 25 people or more in attendance. By having at least 25 in the class I am able to offer these as free classes to your guests.

I also offer even a better discount for the "Let's Make Sense of Thermal Cooking Cookbook" for your guests when there are 25 people there. The books are $25 when there is 25. This is a $10 discount per book from the retail price. When there are 24 or under in attendance the group buy price of the book is $27.99. Please get commitments from your guests. Ask them to let you know if their schedule changes and they will not be attending so their spot can be filled.

Don't worry, you are not alone. I will help promote your class using both on my website and social media. I will be making an event page in Facebook for your event. If you use facebook I will make you an administrator of the event. To do this you will need to be a member of my Let's Make Sense of Thermal Cooking Facebook group. So please send me a request to join the group. The events page is where I will be sending those who request information on attending the class you will be hosting. Feel free to update any information you would like on the event page once you are an administrator. I will not be posting your address on the event page but you may if you would like. If you would prefer not to have your address online I will need the address and can help message those who request the address for the class. A reminder a day or two before the class is always a good idea with specific instructions of time an location.

I will also need your address.

What time would you like the class? They usually start at 7:00 pm for evening classes, but we can schedule earlier if you would like. Day classes are also an option. I will plan to be there 30 minutes before the class starts.

If you could have paper goods available would be great. Napkins, plates (not too big), spoons, and cups. The cups will be used for water and samples such as soup and/or yogurt. You never know what I may end up bringing. :) Some ice water would be nice.

I am happy to teach at preparedness fairs and church groups.

I am so excited to share this information with you, your family and friends. I am humbled by your willingness to let me come and look forward to getting to know you.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks so much!
